F.A.Q. & Cake Care
When should I order?
All orders should be placed at least 2 weeks in advance. Rush orders will be an additional $20 fee.
For custom cake orders we suggest contacting us at least a week in advance.
Wedding Cakes should be ordered at least 2 months in advance.
Are deposits required?
Yes. To secure and confirm your order, we require a 50% deposit within 24 hours of when the total was given. We are flexible, just let us know if you would like to discuss a specific deposit date.
How long does a cake stay fresh?
Our cakes stay fresh for about 5-6 days as long as they are stored correctly.
DO NOT Refrigerate an open cake, it will dry out.
Do we deliver?
Yes, we deliver within the Capital District at an additional charge.
What is fondant?
Fondant is sugar-based with a candy like taste/texture. It can be used to cover an entire cake or for designs.
Do we have vegan options?
Of course we do! Just let us know what you're in the mood for an we'll work our magic.
What if I need to cancel my order?
All orders must be cancelled 48 hours before the date of the order, to receive a full refund. After the 48 hours, we do not offer refunds. Amount will be held as a credit for future orders.
Do I have to be 21+ to place an order with alcohol?
If we're purchasing/providing the alcohol, yes. If you're providing the alcohol, no.
Should I refrigerate my order?
Cakes should be refrigerated until 30 minutes before serving. Treats should be fine at room temperature.
Are all decorations edible?
Unless you specifically order edible decorations, do not assume that the decorations can be consumed.
What is your refund policy?
At The Bakeory, we take great pride in our products. We want all of our customers to be happy with their purchases. Since all of our products are homemade by real people, sometimes mistakes can happen. If we caused a problem with your order,
we will do all we can to fix it.
We do not offer refunds on products but we may work with you on a credit or product exchange with us. Please notify us about the issue within 24 hrs. We also request that you provide enough detail to address the issue.
